History of Frank Ford Travel

Frank Ford Travel, now known as travelscene @ Frank Ford is the longest running travel agency in Ballarat. It was established in 1970, operating out of the old Crocker’s building on the corner of Armstrong and Sturt Streets, the current site of Book City.

Mr Frank and Mrs Marjorie Richardson took over from Frank Ford, operating for many years in Bath Lane, opposite Craig’s Hotel, before moving to 415 Sturt Street.

Frank Ford Travel is now owned and operated by Hayden Gercovich, a nephew of Mr and Mrs Richardson, in partnership with Kylee Ellerton. travelscene @ Frank Ford recently moved to new premises at 1209 Sturt Street, where car parking is more relaxed, just like the staff at Frank Ford!

All the staff are friendly and know their products, but that’s not to say that we aren’t always learning, says director Hayden Gercovich. We have a good blend of experienced and young staff. Hayden’s attitude is, “Why not support young people? Give them a chance to gain the experience they need to be successful in their chosen careers.”

Travel is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have, with precious memories to share and keep for life once each journey has ended.

travelscene @ Frank Ford is privileged to provide personal service to their much valued client’s. Travel with us and you won’t be disappointed with our service. We try harder than any other travel agency. Why?

Because we care about you, your family and our reputation.
